The first week of a new job is complete! For many weeks up to now, I was so nervous. I kept wondering if I made the right decision. Was this lateral move step back for me? Should I have stayed in my old job until the right opportunity came around? I kept thinking that a promotion would happen if I stayed long enough and kept seeking the internal job board.
After completing my first week, I think I have made the right decision to move on. I appreciate that my new supervisor is transparent and detailed with the growth that could come out from my position as it is a newly created position. And that growth also comes with a promotion too (don’t forget pay bump) which made me very happy.
Happy Sunday! I know I am posting late again. I am writing from a local desserts cafe while my husband and Lana are off at the mall doing an act doing a team-building thing with the robotics team. It’s been a while since I’ve blogged from somewhere that was either not my house or during my lunch break at work. It’s a nice change of scenery. I forgot how much I enjoyed this.
I’m not sure when exactly it happens, but there’s this perfect part of the year I enjoy where it’s a tolerable 60-70 F sunny day and the trees wake up with bursts of colors. My favorite part of the year started this week. I’ve been walking a little slower to enjoy these colors while they’re here for however long.
Happy Weekend Coffee Share and Happy New Year! It’s been an eventful three weeks: I was sick throughout Christmas weekend (tested negative for COVID), my husband was sick as well (tested negative for COVID), BIL #2 was sick through Christmas to after New Year’s (he had COVID), and two of my coworkers had COVID and were out for 10 days. We were so so so short-staffed at my office over the last two weeks.
